In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Education Requirement:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution AND at least 24 semester hours of study from an accredited institution of higher education in any of the following business related disciplines:
accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organization and management. OR A current civilian, Department of Defense (DoD) employee occupying a GS-1102 Contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in DoD, AND have been in this type of contracting position since September 30, 2000. OR A current DoD employee not in a GS-1102 position, but who occupied a GS/equivalent-1102 position or contracting officer position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in any Federal agency prior to 30 September 2000. OR A current member of the armed forces who occupied a position within an occupational specialty similar to the GS-1102 series on or before 30 September 2000. AND Experience required for GS-11 level:
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as:
Analyze submissions for staffing and salary to ensure it is adequate with existing structure and personnel, Analyze contractor's operation to ensure within command's rules and regulations, Apply cost and price analysis to determine negotiation position, Assess procurement documents for compliance with contractor's purchases prior to approval. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:
Education at the GS-11:
To qualify at the GS-11 using education, you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related from an accredited college or university. (Note:
You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Combination of Specialized Experience and Education at GS-11:
You must possess some specialized experience as described above, but less than 1 year; and have more than two years of graduate level education, but less than three years of graduate-level education as described above. If you have computed the percentage of the requirements that are meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 36 hours (total semesters hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.) (Note:

Determine organization's procedures are in compliance with Federal and State labor laws, Analyze complex contracts and agreements to ensure within organization's policies and procedures, Apply negotiation techniques to conduct post-award settlement actions, Administer onsite surveys to assess problems with contractors' ability to perform within cost accounting standards. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent. If you are a current, Federal employee, you must include your pay plan, series and grade in your work experience(s) on your resume submission and/or upload supporting documentation (within-grade increase SF50) to show that you meet the time-in-grade requirement. In addition, if your step reflects '00', you must include your current salary for each position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
