Experience:
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
One year of specialized experience which includes inspecting work areas, conducting surveys, analyzing findings, preparing reports, maintaining industrial hygiene equipment, and assisting with worker education training, performing sampling using standard methods to establish the nature and degree of hazards and industrial products, conducting surveys and investigations of work operations, identifying and evaluating conditions which may be hazardous to the health or workers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). OR Education Substitution:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related fields such as Engineering, with course work in Health & Safety. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
