Company Description Job Description Summary of Primary Functions:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
May include some or all of the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
o Works with parts team to make the department more profitable.
o Finds out the model, serial number, and type of part needed.
o Reads catalogs, John Deere Vision or computer for replacement part stock number and price.
o Orders and receives parts from John Deere and other venders.
o Fills customer orders from stock.
o Ensures technicians receive the correct parts in a timely manner.
o Tracks lost sales.
o Studies and stays current on new product bulletins and catalogs.
o Prepares computerized invoices.
o Receives payment or obtains credit authorization.
o Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.
o Picks up and delivers parts for customers and venders as needed.
o Maintains periodical parts returns as needed.
o Attends training classes and store meetings.
o Examines returned parts to determine if defective and exchange part or refund money.
o Marks and stores parts in stockroom according to prearranged system.
o Always see that defective merchandise is tagged properly with date, hours used, serial number, model number, correct part number, and placed in warranty bins.
o Notifies Parts Manager of discrepancies between inventory records and shelf quantities.
Maintains a clean and safe operating department.
o Assists with annual physical inventory.
o Controls expenses to increase profitability.
Qualifications Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:
One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Organization and communication skills must be highly developed.
Computer skills need to be broad based.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, and geometry.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
