Linux Systems Administrator (Mid:level) Job - (fort knox, kentucky)

Minimum
Qualifications:
- Three years of technical experience administering Linux in an Enterprise environment.
Experience in applications software development for complex business applications using Agile Development methodology and techniques is desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO/ITIL processes and documentation standards is desired - Possess a SECRET clearance or have the ability to get one.
Must have at least an interim SECRET to begin work on the contract (day 1 requirement) - Must be able to obtain a Security
as well as a related certification relevant to the computing environment.
(day 1 requirement) - Must be enrolled in CompTIA's Continuing Education program.
- Must sign privileged level access agreement Skills/Abilities:
- Team player, strong written and verbal communications skills - Ability to train other team members on the applications, proper procedures, problem isolation - Ability to develop instructions in a logical, detailed flow - Red Hat Certification is strongly preferred - Apply operating system patches/updates - Start/stop services as needed - Produce user account reports for password expiration and routine logon requirements, disable accounts not in compliance - Add/delete user accounts per IA requirements - Assist with application patching/upgrades where root level access is needed - Monitor hardware and software performance, respond to alerts as needed - Maintain hardware, replacing parts as needed - Configure and maintain monitoring solutions, ensuring alerts are sent as issues arise - Review and respond to Retina scan results - Maintain documentation on server configurations - Open support tickets with hardware and software vendors as needed
