Certified Locomotive Engineer Trainee
Basic Job Description Primary Job Duties Trains with manager and experienced staff in the process of switching rail cars Assists in performance of routine track maintenance Performs general clean-up of facility as needed Inspects all equipment before use Job Requirements Able to work extended hours and swing shifts as needed Works on call as needed Able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs.
consistently Able to crawl, climb, stoop, kneel and balance Uses a sledge hammer to perform track maintenance Able to perform basic math functions Able to read and understand measurements Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team Strong ability to multi-task Exceptional attention to detail Basic computer skills Able to pass background checks for FRA and DOT physical requirements Min/Max Experience Required-- Minimum 12 months experience in a previous position with proven ability to handle responsibility and dependable work record.
